data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The weekend of 4th &amp; 5th July saw the Welsh ILCA Open Championships being held at Pwllheli.\u00a0 Pwllheli delivered its very best &#8211;\u00a0 Sunny, windy, big waves on the Saturday and a more leisurely 10-12kts and flat water on the Sunday.<\/p><p>A cracking 53-boat turnout with sailors coming from as far afield as Scotland and Weymouth, with the club out in force with racing completed across all 3 ILCA rig sizes.\u00a0<\/p><p>Some standout club results:<\/p><p>ILCA 4 &#8211; Megan 4th, Evie 5th, Sophie 6th, Ellen 7th<\/p><p>ILCA 6 &#8211; Thomas 11th<\/p><p>ILCA 7 &#8211; Gordon 4th, John 7th, Rhys 8th, Mark 9th (cut short after a nasty head knock in race 2)<\/p><p>Also flying the flag on Sunday: Harry 12th and Harrison 19th in the ILCA 4 fleet.<\/p><p>The event was impeccably organised and run by the Venning family, and a massive thank you to all the club volunteers, Ken, Mandy, Molly, Russell, Mike, and especially Bethan, who pulled the whole thing together.<\/p><p>Special shout out to John Jones, winner of the Endeavour Award for the most experienced sailor in the fleet \ud83e\udd73<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c7dbb23 e-flex
